Torsten Eder

Torsten Eder is a seasoned executive in the automotive industry, currently serving as Vice President of Electrified Drive Systems and a member of the Executive Board at Mercedes-Benz AG since 2008. Eder has held various influential roles within Mercedes-Benz, including Vice President of Development Powertrain and Director of Battery Systems, among others. Prior experience includes a decade at BMW Group in gasoline engine development. Eder holds a Dr.-Ing. in Maschinenbau from Technische Universität Darmstadt, a Diplom-Ingenieur in Maschinenbau from the same institution, and a degree in Business Administration from Collège des Ingénieurs.
