Nathan Brooks is a highly experienced controls engineer with a career spanning over two decades in the automotive industry, primarily at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. Since January 2023, Nathan has served as Controls Engineer III, focusing on the development of controls platforms for battery systems, PLCs, AGVs, and AI systems. Prior roles include Control Engineer II, where responsibilities included planning the controls room for the Mercedes GLE and GLS project, and Controls Engineer I, managing the controls platform in Body In White. Nathan's earlier experience includes commissioning bodyshops for automotive applications at PA Solutions, serving as a Sr. Controls Engineer, and working with electrical systems at PROSYS Group and Allphase Machine and Electrical as an electrician. Nathan completed education at Pikes Peak State College and Widefield High School.

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. (MBUSI) is the production location for the GLE-, GLS- and the GLE Coupe Sport Utility Vehicles, as well as the C-Class sedan. In 2018, the plant produced more than 235,000 vehicles and our plant has built more than 3 million vehicles in its nearly 20+ years of production in the State of Alabama. In September 2017, Mercedes-Benz Cars announced plans to expand its production footprint in Alabama and the United States with a $1 billion investment for our second campus. The expansion includes construction of a new battery plant to prepare the plant to build electric vehicles at the beginning of the next decade. MBUSI currently employs more than 3,700 Team Members.
