Gerard O'Flaherty

Gerard O'Flaherty is a seasoned professional in the field of materials science and composites design, currently serving as the Lead Materials Science Engineer at Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team since August 2022. Prior to this role, Gerard O'Flaherty held the position of Senior R&D Composites Designer at Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology from April 2014 to August 2022, and served as a Senior Composites Designer at Lotus F1 Team from January 1993 to April 2014. Gerard O'Flaherty holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) Hons. from Trinity College Dublin.
