Michael Lange is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in aerospace and defense sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Mercer Engineering Research Center since November 2013, Michael specializes in corrosion engineering and structural redesign for military helicopters. Prior to this role, Michael held multiple positions at General Dynamics Amphibious Systems from June 1997 to November 2013, including Weapon Station Manager, where responsibilities encompassed leading the engineering department for weapon systems contracts. Additionally, Michael's earlier experience includes serving as an engineering graduate student laboratory assistant at the University of Virginia Automobile Safety Laboratory, conducting automotive experimentation and testing. Michael holds a Bachelor's of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia.
