Ian Henry

Ian Henry is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in media relations, content creation, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Communications Coordinator for Mercer Island School District since November 2021, Ian manages content across all communication platforms and actively participates in various advisory groups. Prior to this role, Ian spent nearly two decades with the Seattle Thunderbirds Hockey Club, culminating as the Director of Media Relations, where responsibilities included developing strategic communication plans and maintaining the organization's brand. Additional experience includes roles at MSNBC.com and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, along with various positions in sports media and radio producing for prominent organizations such as the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks. Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Washington.
