Matthew Ringel

Matthew Ringel is a seasoned Geographic Information Systems professional with a diverse background in both public service and technology. Currently serving as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst for the City of Mercer Island since January 2022, Matthew previously held the position of GIS Developer/Analyst for the City of Bellevue, Washington from January 2018 to December 2021. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Developer/Analyst at Zenith Capital, and a decade-long tenure at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration as a Commissioned Officer, where responsibilities spanned hydrographic surveys and nautical chart production. Matthew holds a Master of Geographic Information Systems from the University of Washington and a Full Stack JavaScript Certification from Code Fellows, complemented by a BA in Physics from Kalamazoo College.
