Marjan Shirzad has a diverse work experience in the museum industry. From 2017 onwards, Marjan worked at Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle, initially as the Vice President of Community Services, then as the Vice President of Community Services & Marketing, and currently as the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Marjan worked at the Nantucket Historical Association, holding various roles such as Director of Visitor Experience, Director of Outreach and Special Programs, and History Educator. Marjan's work experience spans from 2010 to 2022.
Marjan Shirzad's education history started in 2004 when they attended the University of Virginia. Marjan pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian Studies with a Middle East Concentration and completed their studies in 2004. Following this, in 2005, they joined Goldsmiths, University of London, to further their education. Marjan obtained a Master's degree in Visual Anthropology and concluded their studies in 2006.
