Cynthia Smith

Cynthia Smith has significant experience in financial planning and compliance, currently serving as the Director of Awarding and Compliance of Financial Planning at Mercer University since November 2013. In this role, Cynthia manages financial aid audit reports and conducts training for Associate Directors on audit-related issues. Prior to this, Cynthia held positions at Mercer University as Sr. Associate Director and Associate Director of Financial Planning, where responsibilities included instigating federal and state financial aid regulations and procedures. Earlier experience includes working at GEICO as an Imaging/Salvage/Claims Service Representative, assisting customers with claim processing. Cynthia holds a Master's of Arts in Christian Counseling from Faulkner University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wesleyan College.
