Eric Harkness

Eric Harkness is currently the Principal at Mercer Government Health & Human Services Consulting, where they leverage extensive experience in public sector leadership to facilitate complex and sensitive processes at the intersection of population health and government policy. They previously served as Executive Director of The Sycamore Institute, guiding independent public policy research to enhance understanding of health issues in Tennessee. Eric's background includes roles such as Director of the Office of Health Policy at the Tennessee Department of Health and Assistant Director at the Division of Health Planning. Notably recognized as a Bloomberg Fellow and included in the de Beaumont Foundation's inaugural list of 40 under 40 in Public Health, Eric has a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a B.A. in Public Policy & Sustainability Studies from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
