Garvan McCarthy

Garvan McCarthy is the Chief Investment Officer for EMEA and Asia at Mercer, based in Dublin. They joined Mercer in 2003 and have advanced through various roles, including Investment Analyst, Portfolio Manager, and Alternatives Leader internationally. With over 19 years of investment experience, Garvan specializes in implementing portfolio solutions across traditional and alternative asset classes. They hold a first-class honours degree in Actuarial and Financial Studies from University College Dublin and are a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in the UK and the Society of Actuaries in Ireland, as well as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. Outside of work, Garvan enjoys spending time with family and playing sports.
