Jonathan Black

Jonathan Black is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in the employee benefits and pensions sector. Currently serving as a Principal Consultant at Mercer since April 2019, Jonathan continues to manage the CPRM portfolio of clients acquired by JLT in 2015 and advises trustee clients in Edinburgh. Prior to this role, Jonathan held the position of Director at JLT Employee Benefits, contributing to client services following JLT's acquisition of CPRM. Jonathan's career also includes leadership as Managing Director and Practicing Scheme Actuary at CPRM, Partner and Scheme Actuary at Hazell Carr Edinburgh LLP, and Head of Sales for Corporate Pensions at Scottish Equitable. Jonathan began a career in actuarial science as a Student Actuary at GRE. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Physics from the University of Aberdeen.
