Brent Routman is a Partner and General Counsel at Merchant & Gould, serving as Regional Attorney for Trademarks in Asia and chairing both the Conflicts Committee and the Business Intake Committee. With extensive leadership experience, Brent Routman has held fellowships with ABF Fellows since 2007 and served as President of Osteoplastics from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, Brent Routman was Past President of both the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association, as well as Past Chairman of the Patent Division of the ABA Intellectual Property Law Section. Earlier roles included Director of Legal Career Services at the University of Georgia and Assistant Director at the University of Miami. Education includes a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and an AB in Psychology from Ohio University. Brent Routman began practicing law as a Partner at Routman and Routman, focusing on immigration and civil litigation from 1983 to 1987.
