Lawrence Khoo

Lawrence Khoo, CFA, is an experienced professional currently serving as SVP of Strategy at Merchantrade Asia since January 2024. Prior to this role, Lawrence was a Project Lead in Mobility Innovation at Sime Darby, where leadership included overseeing venture-type investments in the mobility sector. Previous positions include Vice President of Strategy and M&A at Level Five Holdings, Manager of Corporate Finance and M&A at UEM Edgenta Berhad, and Assistant Vice President at Xeraya Capital, focusing on life sciences investments. Lawrence's career began at Sime Darby, where significant contributions were made in both plantation strategy and the establishment of Sime Darby Renewables. Lawrence holds a First Class Honours degree in Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
