Cerp Chris Schutte

Chris Schutte, CERP, is currently serving as the Enterprise Risk Team Lead and previously as an Enterprise Risk Analyst II at Merchants Bank of Indiana since February 2022. In this role, Chris conducts risk and control assessments for various processes and consults with business units on software implementation, ensuring that risk considerations are balanced with business needs. Prior to this, Chris worked at Noble Consulting Services, Inc. from May 2017 to February 2022 as a Senior Financial Examiner, where responsibilities included coordinating NAIC risk-focused examinations, reviewing corporate governance for compliance, conducting risk assessments, and analyzing financial data for insurer solvency. Chris also contributed to developing standardized examination procedures to enhance operational efficiency across the organization. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, earned between 2014 and 2018.
