Peter then moved on to National Auto Finance, where they worked as a Senior Operations Manager, responsible for managing employees and overseeing the processing of applications and contracts. In 2004, they joined HSBC as an Operations Manager, and later transitioned to HSBC Auto Finance, where they served as an Operations Manager and gained extensive experience in credit, collections, and call center leadership. In 2008, Peter joined Bank of America as a Vice President Treasury Services, excelling in service delivery and consolidation efforts for commercial clients. Peter also worked at Colonial Life as an Agency Sales Representative before being promoted to District & Agency Operations Manager. Peter's most recent role was at First Coast Acceptance Company, where they held the position of General Manager. Currently, they are employed as an Assistant Vice President in Collections & Recovery at Merchants & Marine Bank.

Peter Benes attended Saint Andrews Prep School from 1973 to 1977, where they obtained a diploma in College Preparatory School. Peter then enrolled in The University of the South in 1977 for undergraduate studies but transferred to Samford University in 1978. At Samford University, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Management Finance, and Operations, which they completed in 1981.
