William Looser has over 30 years of experience in environmental health, safety, and risk management. William currently serves as the Vice President of EHS and Risk at Merchants Metals. Prior to this, they held leadership positions at SunOpta, Milk Specialties Company, Nash Finch Company, ConAgra Foods, Fresh Express, Dole Food Company, and Mission Foods. In these roles, they successfully directed and led various aspects of environmental health, safety, risk management, and loss prevention initiatives. William has also served as a key liaison to regulators, legislators, and government officials.
William Looser graduated from Leuzinger High School. William then attended the University of Southern California where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Safety. After that, they enrolled in Monterey College of Law and earned a J.D. degree in Law. In addition to their formal education, William Looser also obtained certifications such as the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from the Insurance Institute of America in 1997 and the Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
