Katie Hennessy

Katie Hennessy currently serves as the Fundraising Co-ordinator at Merchants Quay Ireland, a position held since September 2023. Previously, Katie was the Deputy Manager of Individual Giving at Depaul (Ireland) from April 2021 to August 2023 and worked as a Fundraising Officer at Threshold Ireland from April 2020 to April 2021. Earlier roles included two positions at Plan International, Fundraising Officer and Donor Relations Officer, from September 2017 to April 2020, and Programme Support at Dochasnetwork (Dóchas) in 2017. Katie began a professional career as a Communications and Research Assistant at the National Women's Council of Ireland in 2016, after which roles included Assistant Language Teacher in Japan and Front of House at the Irish Film Institute. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Marketing Institute of Ireland, a Master's Degree in Gender, Globalisation, and Human Rights from the University of Galway, and a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Film, and Broadcasting from Technological University Dublin.
