Martijn Kleibergen

Martijn Kleibergen joined Mercia in 2022, and is the Portfolio Director for the VCT team. In his role at Mercia, Martijn sits on the board of a number of VCT portfolio companies and works with the management teams to support them through the growth journey. He is based in the London office.

Martijn graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam where he holds a Masters degree in Economics. Having been trained as a banker originally, Martijn spent most of his career at Octopus Investments where he held a number of board positions with various early-stage companies and was a member of Investment Committee. Prior to joining Mercia, Martijn worked at Pollen Street Capital as a Senior Originator as part of its Private Credit strategy focussing on Speciality Finance transactions in the Electric Vehicle, SME lending and Renewable Energy sectors.
