Charles W Preuss

Charles W Preuss is a seasoned mechanical designer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and facility design. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Designer at Merck Group since November 2020, Charles oversees the implementation and administration of Autodesk Vault Professional, supporting a team of 37 engineers with Revit, AutoCAD, and Vault. Prior to this role, Charles held positions at NANA WorleyParsons from August 2009 to June 2020, including Mechanical-Piping Design Chief, where Charles contributed to an exclusive operations and maintenance design team for 11 consecutive years and led design initiatives for client interfaces in various facility and pipeline projects. Earlier experience includes working as a Principal Piping Designer at SRI International from August 2007 to August 2009, focusing on optimizing facility design and ensuring adherence to client specifications. Charles holds degrees in Supervision & Management from Marquette University and has pursued further education at Milwaukee School of Engineering and the University of Alaska Anchorage.
