Patrick Cheng, PMP®, PMI-RMP®, CIN™, currently serves as the Head of APAC Program/Project Management at Merck Group, overseeing a regional PMO that manages biopharmaceutical projects across multiple countries in the Asia-Pacific region, with a key focus on China, Korea, Japan, India, Taiwan, Singapore, and Australia. Previously, Patrick held the position of Lead Program Manager at Smiths Detection, where responsibilities included military program management in Taiwan, Japan, and Malaysia. Prior experience also includes serving as Project Manager at Bombardier Transportation, leading global teams in the delivery of passenger trains for Singapore's Downtown Line, and as a Project Engineer at the Defence Science & Technology Agency, where Patrick managed UAV system acquisition and development programs. Patrick Cheng earned a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours from the National University of Singapore and has a strong foundation in computer engineering, recognized for academic excellence on the Dean's List.
