Takao Ito

Takao Ito has extensive experience in biomanufacturing and scientific leadership, currently serving as Principal Consultant at Merck Group since September 2015, where responsibilities include leading global scientific initiatives and advising on biopharmaceutical processes. Prior to this role, Takao held multiple positions at Merck Millipore, including Senior Manager of the Biomanufacturing Sciences Network for Korea and Japan, and Technical Manager for Biomanufacturing Sciences, where efforts focused on providing consulting services and educational support to clients. Takao's career began at DAIDAN Co. Ltd. as a Senior Researcher, and educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Kanazawa University and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Tokushima University.
