Andrew Swartz

Andrew Swartz is a Principal Scientist at Merck, where they lead downstream bioprocess research and development for various vaccines and immunotherapies. Previously, Swartz held various roles including Vaccine Process Development Scientist at Merck and a Graduate Researcher at the University of Delaware, focusing on the purification of biomolecules and antibodies. They gained early experience through internships at Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb, where they optimized processes for monoclonal antibodies. Swartz holds a Ph.D. in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Delaware, as well as a Master's degree from Lehigh University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester.
