Christian Meyer

Christian Meyer is the Global Director of Scientific Affairs, Diabetes and Metabolism at Merck, with over 20 years of experience in clinical and translational research in metabolism, diabetes, and obesity. Prior to this role, Christian served as an Associate Investigator at the Translational Research Institute for Metabolism & Diabetes and held academic positions at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and Arizona State University. Christian's academic journey began with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Göttingen and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Giessen. Additionally, Christian has contributed to the field through various leadership roles in clinical research and education, including positions at the University of Rochester and Saint Mary's Hospital.
