Chuck Orella

Chuck Orella is a retired Engineering Director from Merck & Co., Inc., where they amassed over 30 years of experience in process development and technology transfer. They led significant contributions to commercial processes for multiple vaccines and pharmaceuticals. Chuck holds a BS from UC Santa Barbara, an MS from the University of Delaware, and a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, they served as Chair Elect and later Chair for the Organic Reactions Catalysis Society from 2014 to 2018, further demonstrating their commitment to the field.
