Derek Chappell is the Global Director of Immunology Marketing, currently serving as the Rheumatology Lead within the Global Marketing team. In this role, they spearhead strategic growth and innovation, driving commercial performance and portfolio advancement. Derek has built a diverse skill set across drug development, including early clinical development and global brand marketing, with experience in various therapeutic areas such as Immunology, Oncology, and Infectious Diseases. They are a proud graduate of Merck’s General Management Acceleration Program, having previously worked in roles ranging from Sr. Lab Technician to Principal Scientist at Merck. Before their tenure at Merck, Derek earned a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Salisbury University.
