Ian R. McConnell

Ian R. McConnell has extensive experience in communications and leadership within the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President of Communications for Merck Research Laboratories and Business Development since July 2007. Prior roles include Executive Director and Director of Corporate Communications at Merck, Vice President at Porter Novelli and Fleishman-Hillard, and Associate at WCG. McConnell began a career in communications as an Account Supervisor at Noonan/Russo Communications, Inc. and worked as a BioScientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Educational credentials include a DPhil in Biology from the University of York and a BSc in Pharmacology from The School of Pharmacy, University of London.
