John Cummins is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in political and corporate environments. Currently serving as the Head of External Affairs & Policy Communications and Media at Merck since 2017, Cummins has held key communication roles in various governmental positions, including Communications Director for the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives from 2011 to 2017. Prior to these roles, Cummins worked for Bill Cassidy's Senate campaign and the Republican National Committee, as well as serving as Deputy Director of Volunteers for John McCain's 2008 campaign. Cummins holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Davidson College.
