Joni Oakes

Joni Oakes, MS, CPM, ACRP-CP, is currently the Associate Director of Early Stage Development at Merck, where they oversee the performance and project management of the US country team for clinical trials. With over 25 years of experience in clinical research, they have demonstrated expertise in managing trials, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading process improvement initiatives. Previously, Joni held roles such as Senior Site Manager at PRA Health Sciences and Director of Clinical Studies at Lynn Health Sciences Institute. They earned a Master's degree in Biological Psychology from the University of Oklahoma Health Campus and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Biology from Bethel College.
