Paul Chard

Paul Chard is the Executive Director of Drug Safety at Merck, where they focus on innovative development strategies for early-stage and metastatic triple-negative breast cancer within the KEYTRUDA oncology program. With a robust background in hepatology, neuroscience, and Women's Health, Paul has accumulated over 20 years of clinical experience, including roles as a primary care physician and senior medical director at Merck. Paul’s expertise encompasses safety strategy leadership for multiple programs, authoring clinical safety summaries, and extensive pharmacovigilance analysis. They earned a medical degree from UCL and hold a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
