Global Medical Affairs Council Lead For Diversity, Equity And Inclusion at Merck

Peggy McKinnon serves as the Global Medical Affairs Council Lead for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Merck, a role held since January 2015. In previous positions at Merck, Peggy held titles such as Associate Vice President for Infectious Disease and Vaccines and Executive Director for Global Scientific Affairs, where leadership included oversight of the Infectious Disease Research Scientific Directors and support for research across multiple therapeutic areas. Prior to joining Merck, Peggy worked at Cubist Pharmaceuticals as Executive Director and Sr. Director of Field Medical Affairs, and held roles related to health economics and clinical research at BJC HealthCare, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Detroit Medical Center, and Mayo Medical Center. Peggy earned a PharmD from the University at Buffalo and a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut.
