Principal Scientist (Director)

Senaka Peter has over 15 years of experience leading and managing epidemiology and clinical research studies in both the pharmaceutical and academic sectors. Currently, they work as a Principal Scientist (Director) at Merck, focusing on oncology and utilizing real-world data to enhance clinical trial design. Previously, Senaka held various positions at Merck, including Epidemiology Program Coordinator Specialist and Epidemiologist, and worked as a Project Director at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. They are also engaged in diversity initiatives in clinical trials and health equity research. Senaka is pursuing a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Sciences at Yale School of Public Health and holds an A.B. in Chemistry from Princeton University.
