Neal Simmons

Neal Simmons is a seasoned professional in bioanalysis with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Bioanalysis & PK at Astellas Pharma since March 2022, Simmons leads global bioanalysis efforts, managing all facets of clinical bioanalysis. Previous roles include Principal Scientist at Nexelis, where responsibilities encompassed method development and validation, and Scientific Associate Director at Bristol Myers Squibb, focusing on regulated bioanalysis within Nonclinical R&D. Earlier positions included Senior Scientist at AIT Bioscience and Director of Bioanalytical Laboratories at Astellas Pharma. With a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Iowa State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Truman State University, Simmons possesses a strong academic background to complement expertise in LC-MS/MS and LBA method development.
