Stephen Leong currently serves as the Executive Director of Scientific Affairs at Merck since June 2020. Prior to this role, Stephen was the Director and Co-Director of the University of Colorado Developmental Therapeutics (Phase I) Clinical Program from January 2017 to June 2020. Additionally, Stephen held the position of Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Colorado Denver from July 2004 to June 2020 and served as the Deputy Director of the Phase I Program from June 2013 to December 2016. Stephen Leong earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, completed a Master’s Degree in Medical Clinical Sciences/Graduate Medical Studies at University College Dublin, and participated in a Program in Palliative Care Education and Practice at Harvard University in 2011.
