Tami Walters

Tami Walters, PhD, is the Director of Safety and Environment at Merck, a position they have held since 2022 after serving as Associate Director from 2017 to 2022. They previously worked as an EHS Specialist at Johnson Controls, overseeing multiple facility management programs, and as an EHS Engineer at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., focusing on occupational safety in a heavy manufacturing environment. Tami attained a PhD in Management and Leadership from Walden University and is currently pursuing a BS in Environmental Health and an MS in Occupational Safety and Health Technology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and Eastern Kentucky University, respectively. They have also achieved CSP and CET designations from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
