Kiran Vokkarne

Kiran Vokkarne is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and mobile solutions. Currently serving as a Researcher at Mercor since July 2025, Kiran focuses on researching, training, and evaluating LLM models for accuracy while collaborating with leading research labs. Previous roles include AI Consultant at Scale AI, where Kiran refined Gen AI models, and Mobility Solutions Architect at Xoriant, overseeing mobile architecture and solutions. Kiran has held significant positions at AT&T as Technical Director, directing software engineering efforts for video streaming products, and at DIRECTV as Engineering Manager, managing mobile software teams. Earlier experience includes key roles at Sun Microsystems, Kaplan Financial Education, and HP, emphasizing software development and architecture. Kiran earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and Information Technology from Purdue University in 2023.
