Gaurav Sharma

Gaurav Sharma is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in compliance IT and regulatory reporting. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer in Compliance IT at Mercuria since February 2023, Gaurav previously held the position of Senior Software Developer at Global Relay from April 2021 to February 2023. Gaurav has a strong background in MiFID-related projects, having worked as a Senior Java Consultant on the MiFID-II Project at UBS from November 2016 to January 2021, and as a Senior Java Consultant with Goldman Sachs focused on transaction reporting issues from March 2015 to July 2016. Prior to that, Gaurav was the AVP and Team Lead for Regulatory Reporting at Credit Suisse, overseeing MiFID transaction and trade reporting from June 2010 to March 2015, and served as Component Guardian for the MiFID Transaction Reporting Team at UBS Investment Bank from July 2007 to June 2010. Gaurav began a career in technology with Wipro Technologies, where the role of Team Lead involved consulting at UBS. Gaurav holds an MBA in Information Technology from IISWBM, Calcutta, and a BTech in Dairy Technology from the National Dairy Research Institute.
