Jay Tank has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance industry. Jay started their career in 1990 as a Cost Controller at PT Arutmmin Indonesia, where they played a crucial role in developing systems and processes for major coal mine expansion projects. Jay then joined PT Kendilo Coal Indonesia as a Finance Manager in 1994, where they were responsible for monitoring pit closure and rehabilitation projects.

In 2001, Jay moved to PT BHP Billiton Indonesia as a Finance In Charge. During their time there, they performed due diligence on Indonesian coal companies, managed financials of PT Arutmin Coal's marketing agency, and played a key role in developing and implementing the SAP System for coal trading activities.

Jay then joined BHP Billiton Group in 2006 as a Financial Controller, where they developed budgeting and forecasting systems, created valuation models for investment approval, and provided finance advisory for project controls teams.

In 2009, Jay became a Corporate Strategic Planning Advisor at PT Marunda Graha Minerals. Jay was responsible for restructuring finance, providing advice on projects and operations, and implementing capital spending optimization procedures.

Jay'smost recent role was as the Chief Financial Officer at PT Mercuria Energy Services (Mercuria Group, Geneva) starting in 2012. In this position, they advised the Board of Directors, led teams on break-even analysis and major operation-related cost reductions, and managed tax and compliance processes.

Throughout their career, Jay has demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and business optimization.

Jay Tank completed a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Madras in 1979. Jay then attended the Institute of Company Secretaries of India from an unknown start year to 1983, where they obtained an Inter degree. Finally, they attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India until 1982, although the start year is unspecified.
