Ryan Vrana

Ryan Vrana has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and infrastructure engineering. Ryan currently works as an Infrastructure Engineer at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. since 2022. Prior to this, Ryan held the position of Sr. Platform Systems Engineer at Houston ISD from 2014 to 2022, where they were responsible for maintaining an enterprise environment consisting of staff, students, and devices. Ryan also managed various technologies including servers, storage systems, backup solutions, and virtualization environments. Before that, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Academy Sports + Outdoors from 2012 to 2014, and as a Sr. Systems Engineer at Katy ISD from 2008 to 2012. Ryan's initial experience in the technology field began at Cameron ISD, where they worked as a Technology Specialist from 2003 to 2008.

Ryan Vrana attended Texas State Technical College from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained two Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees. The first degree was in Computer Networking & Systems Administration, and the second degree was in Network Security Technology.

In terms of additional certifications, Ryan Vrana obtained the following:

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022

- Pure Storage Certified Administration Associate from Pure Storage in September 2019

- VMware Certified Professional from VMware in August 2015

- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2019.
