Mitchell Horner has a diverse work experience. Mitchell began their career in 2010 as a server at Outback Steakhouse. In 2011, they took a job as a driver at Corporate Caterers of Wichita, where they were responsible for loading and unloading the work truck, driving to various places in Wichita and surrounding area, and prepping and serving food to customers. In 2012, they took a job as a Dining Room Attendant at Legend Senior Living, The Regent, providing efficient and courteous service to Residents and their guests. In 2013, they worked as a Student Services Technician at Kansas State University and a Cashier at McMillian's liquor store. In 2016, they worked as a GIS Analyst at Aerotek and BHC, where they were part of the Utilities GIS team, responsible for Fiber to the home (FTTH) main projects, long haul fiber design, and Basemapping utilities for permit sheets/As built sheets. In 2022, they began working as a Project Manager (PM) and FTTx OSP Broadband Designer at Mercury Broadband, assisting in the planning, implementing, and executing of FTTx OSP construction projects.

Mitchell Horner completed their High School Diploma from Circle High School in 2010. Mitchell then attended Butler Community College from 2010 to 2012 and earned an Associate of Science (A.S.). Mitchell then attended Kansas State University from 2012 to 2015 and earned a Bachelor of Science - BS in Geography, Geographic Information Science and Cartography.
