Matt Parsons

Matt Parsons is a Staff Software Engineer and Software Engineering Manager at Mercury since February 2021, leading the Backend Developer Experience team to enhance build times, develop libraries and tools, and scale the backend codebase for over a million lines of code. Previously, Matt served as a Senior Software Engineer at Lumi from March 2019 to February 2021, focusing on financial analytics databases, user interfaces, and open-source contributions. Prior experience includes roles at Input Output (IOHK), where Matt contributed to the Cardano wallet software, and Seller Labs, where software services were developed in Haskell, JavaScript, and PHP. Early career experience includes internships at Layer 3 Communications and Vitamin C, as well as an IT Professional Associate position at the University of Georgia. Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Georgia.
