Jim Pinsonneault has extensive work experience in mechanical and hardware engineering roles. Jim is currently the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Mercury Systems since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BAE Systems from 2008 to 2019 as a Hardware Engineering Manager. In this role, they led a team of engineers in developing a new generation of aircraft protection systems. Their responsibilities included circuit board design and analysis, design verification, supplier management, production support, and customer communication. Before joining BAE Systems, they were also a Senior Manager of Mechanical Engineering at Mercury Systems from 2019 to 2022, where they led the Embedded Processing group in designing and testing rugged processors.

- From 2012 to 2014, they attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management.
- Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
- Lastly, they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England University from 2004 to 2008.
