Manuel Jiménez has over 13 years of experience in the animation and 3D industry. Manuel began their career in 2006 as a Grafista de Televisión y Publicidad at Localia TV SA, where they were responsible for post-production and advertising of the channel. In 2008, they moved to Brainstorm Multimedia, where they worked as a 3D Artist on pre-visualization and layout of Steven Spielberg's Artificial Intelligence and Village Road Pictures' Speed Racer. In 2011, they began working as a Character Animator/Rigger at Magic Films S.L. (Filmayer International), where they were responsible for character and facial animation and rig development for the motion capture film Monomaco. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as an Animation Instructor at C.E.V., teaching classes in environment modeling, organic modeling, animation and rigging. In 2019, they worked as a Senior Character Animator at Radiotelevisión Española, Kutuko, and Castilla-LaMancha Media. Currently, they are a Cinematic Animator Artist at MercurySteam.
Manuel Jiménez has an extensive education history. Manuel obtained their Bachillerato in Arte/Estudios artísticos, general from Escuela De Artes Y Oficios, Toledo in 2001-2003. Manuel then went on to obtain a Técnico Superior in Realización de audiovisuales y espectáculos from CEV. Escuela Superior de Comunicación, Imagen y Sonido in 2003-2005. After that, they obtained a Master in Animation from Trazos in 2010-2011, and a Master in Animation from Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games + Animation in 2011. In 2017, they obtained a Creature Workshop 1 - Quadruped Locomotion from iAnimate.net (Advanced Character Animation Training) in Animation, and a Creature Workshop 2 - Animal Behavior from iAnimate.net in Creature Animation. In 2019, they obtained a Creature Workshop 3 - Flight School and Fantasy Creature from iAnimate.net. Additionally, Manuel Jiménez has obtained several certifications, including a Creature Animation from iAnimate.net in 2019, a Google Creators Academy - Videogames Creation from YouTube in 2016, a Google Creators Academy from YouTube in 2016, and an Oficial De Autodesk Maya from Autodesk in 2010.
