Bilal Hamzeh

Bilal Hamzeh has worked in various research and teaching positions since 2017. Bilal began as a Phycology Lab Research Student at Trinity College-Hartford, where they conducted a phylogenetic study of a new species of Bermudian red algae. Bilal then worked as an Introductory Biology Tutor and a Teaching Assistant for Introductory Biology I and II Laboratory Sections. Bilal conducted independent phytochemical research on Quinolizidine Alkaloids in Cytisus scoparius as an Organic Chemistry student before beginning work as a Neuroendocrinology Lab Research Student, where they conducted various studies and learned laboratory techniques. Bilal also proposed and designed a study analyzing the relationship between social anxiety disorder, the neuropeptide oxytocin, and the neurotransmitter GABA. Most recently, in 2022, Bilal worked as a Research Associate at Mercy BioAnalytics, Inc.

Bilal Hamzeh attended Trinity College-Hartford from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience/Neurochemistry.
