Mercy Care
David Vargas has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. David started their career at Paradigm Management Services in 1996 as a Claims Auditor and worked there until 2006. David then joined Aetna as a Claims Auditor in 2006 and worked there until 2010. In 2010, David joined Mercy Care Plan, where they initially worked as a Senior Project Manager and later became the Director of Health Plan Operations in February 2017.
David Vargas attended UCLA from 1991 to 1995, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
Mercy Care
Mercy Care is a not-for-profit health plan serving AHCCCS members throughout Arizona. Owned by Dignity Health and Ascension Health, Mercy Care has served Medicaid members since 1985. Mercy Care provides access to health care services for families, children, seniors, and people with physical and developmental/cognitive disabilities. Mercy Care also operates as the Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) in Maricopa County, which was the first RBHA in Arizona to offer integrated physical and behavioral health services to persons determined to have a serious mental illness.
