Joanne Demarco

Joanne DeMarco is an experienced professional in institutional research and assessment with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Institutional Research at Mercy University since October 2020, Joanne has also held interim and associate director roles within the same department. Previous experience includes directing assessment and accreditation at Manhattanville College, where Joanne oversaw assessment data collection and collaborated on accreditation-related initiatives. Prior positions include assistant director of assessment at Pace University, research coordinator at Westfair Communications, business systems analyst at Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, executive director of WAIFA, and various analyst roles at IBM and IBM Global Financing. Joanne holds a Master of Arts in Media and Communication Arts from Pace University and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
