Mercy Community
Grace Harwood has extensive experience in pastoral care and counselling, currently serving as the Pastoral Care Lead and previously as a Pastoral Care Assistant at Mercy Community since November 2020. With a strong focus on bereavement counselling, including sudden and traumatic loss and pet grief, Grace also works as a Counsellor for Dragonfly Ministries since January 2008. Additional roles include Retreat Facilitator and Spiritual Director, contributing to retreat planning, reflection days, and training pastoral carers. Grace's prior positions include Pastoral Associate at the Archdiocese of Brisbane, Chaplain at Centacare Brisbane, and Manager of Hilda's House at Ipswich Hospice Care Inc. Grace holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Theological Studies from Australian Catholic University and a Bachelor of Social Science in Pastoral Counselling.
