Deputy Director, Global Internal Communications at Mercy Corps

Lauren Corr has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Lauren is currently working at Mercy Corps as the Deputy Director of Global Internal Communications, a position they have held since October 2023. Prior to that, Lauren was an HIV Prevention Specialist at Health Outreach Prevention Education, Inc. as part of the National AIDS Fund AmeriCorps Year of Service program. Lauren also interned at Marfon Textil, where they worked in a solely Spanish-speaking environment and handled marketing and development tasks.

Throughout their career, Lauren has demonstrated strong skills in communication, strategic planning, event management, and partnership development.

Lauren Corr holds a Master's degree in Global Affairs from New York University, which they completed from 2013 to 2015. Lauren'sarea of specialization was International Development and Humanitarian Assistance, with a focus on Global Health. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Philosophy, from the University of Colorado Boulder between 2004 and 2007. Lauren also has additional certifications, including Certified HIV Testing/Counseling from the American Red Cross and Health Outreach Prevention Education, Inc. (H.O.P.E.).
