Lynn Hector

Lynn Hector has a diverse work experience spanning various roles. Lynn started their career as a Marketing Coordinator at Keller Williams Realty in 2004 and later served as a Real Estate Broker for the same company from 2007 to 2009. In 2008, they worked as an Account Supervisor at Allen Hall Public Relations before taking on the role of Public Affairs Intern at Fred Meyer Stores in 2009. Lynn then returned to Allen Hall Public Relations as an Assistant Firm Director from 2009 to 2010. Lynn joined Waggener Edstrom Communications as a Senior Account Executive in 2011 before transitioning to Mercy Corps in 2014. At Mercy Corps, Lynn held several positions, including Communications Officer, Senior Communications Officer, Media and Communications Manager, Director of Media and Communications, and Interim Managing Director of Communications. Currently, Lynn is serving as the Senior Director of Global Communications at Mercy Corps. Throughout their employment at Mercy Corps, they demonstrated increasing responsibility and scope, leading executive communications for the CEO and securing op-eds, profile pieces, and interviews. Lynn also successfully engaged in two events presented by The New York Times in 2021.

Lynn Hector earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Political Science, Communication Studies from the University of Oregon, graduating in 2010.
