Usman Zhokwo

Usman Zhokwo, MBA, MSc, CPFA, CNA has extensive experience in finance and administration roles in various organizations. In their most recent role as the Interim Finance and Compliance Director at Mercy Corps Nigeria, they were responsible for overseeing a countrywide portfolio of over $150 million. Usman also coordinated with program teams and developed proposal budgets for grants worth over $70 million. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Finance and Administration for the USAID - CIPP Activity, where they managed financial compliance for activities worth $53 million. Usman also has experience as a Grants Manager at FHI 360 and Save The Children International, overseeing grants activities and ensuring financial accountability for projects funded by USAID. Usman has also worked as a Senior Subcontract Accountant at the Centre for Integrated Health Programs and as a Grants Manager at FHI 360 and Winrock International. Usman's early career includes roles as a Business Development/Grants Management Specialist at The World Bank, Finance & Administration Manager at Pathfinder International, and Assistant Director of Finance and Accounts at Nasarawa SUBEB. Usman has a strong background in financial management, grants administration, and compliance.

Usman Zhokwo earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Forensic Accounting from the University of Portsmouth in 2009-2010.
