Kate Colby

Kate Colby, MPH, is an experienced public health professional currently serving as an Infection Preventionist II at Northern Light Mercy Hospital since March 2024 and as a Medical Advisory Board Member for Dotdash Meredith since December 2023. Previously, Kate held roles as a Tuberculosis Epidemiologist and Interim State TB Controller at Maxim Healthcare Staffing, where oversight of the Maine CDC tuberculosis program was provided, and as a Communicable Disease Investigator for COVID-19 investigations. Additional experience includes serving as an Epidemiologist for the CDC Foundation, a Field Epidemiologist at the University of Southern Maine, and a Program Manager for child health and immunization at MaineHealth. Kate has a Master of Public Health from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College.
